Riverdale School Athletics

Last week on Friday, Riverdale School held their athletics day.  It was really hot!

Some of Te Wherowhero's favourite events were the 100m and 200m sprints, the high jump and the long jump.

Some of our most challenging things were the high jump, the ball throw and the sprints.  Matua Ben says we all did really well in our sprint events!

I am awesome because…
I value all the people around me. I show respect to the people I care about, all the people I work with and everybody that I spend time with.

I am also awesome because I love sport and I am the ultimate sporting supporter. I love rugby, horse riding and hunting. I have learnt the sport of archery and I am getting better all the time but I still can’t beat Charlie who is better at the moment…

I am awesome because I work at Riverdale School with some of the best people in Gisborne.

I am awesome because I live on the farm and can be up in the hills surrounded by animals and fresh air everyday.

In conclusion I am awesome because I am me!!!

Great learning today.
Love the learning at Pt England School in Auckland using drones to enhance the learning with the students. Using technology to connect the whanau and school not only in NZ but also in the wider world. Breaking down the walls.
A great way to lock in the enthusiasm with the kids also to take the learning to a new level using the technology the kids now and use in everyday life.

Using slides in the class and making it more user friendly for myself and also the students. Making the learning interesting and engaging. Can't wait to use this knowledge in the classroom and share it with the staff at Riverdale School.
